Web & Mobile Social Mapping for Boaters

November 27th, 2009

We are ready to hear from you!

In the first year at Bluemapia we’ve observed our community’s growing interest.
Many of you just registered while others actively contributed with the creation of content for the simple reason that it is useful to other sailors. What a satisfaction, indeed!

But we want to do better.
We know we can do better with your help.
So we thought it’d be a great idea to open up to hear your feedback.

We simply ask you to add a comment to this post with your ideas about the site, the content, the mobile applications, what you miss most, what you hate and what you like. Anything that could help us understand how to make Bluemapia the best open cruising guide and social mapping site for boaters on the web.
For the benefit of all of us.

We count on you.
Add your comment below.

Have Fun!

Hi Alessandro, that’s a great idea that we are already addressing.
In fact we have started the development of the application for Symbian, so stay tuned. We hope to launch it by Spring 2010 in time for the next sailing season.

    Come on friends.
    Keep posting your ideas…

I would like to use bluemapia to display USGS TOPO maps. Can anyone tell me how to set up the .ini entry for this? The maps are freely available but I can’t figure out how to put the entry together.

Fantastic program!!!! I’m using the desktop and mobile versions for land navigation

It is absolute a shame that people like Stefen Jobs Owner od Apple to to his I phone craze gets taken away and starting cheating on the user of I phone, I am a victim of this scam, have a I phone 3 16 GB and was downloading Navionics, it worked well then the Apple informed that you must upgrade your phone to 4 Version, result all sailing oriented and fully paid software are not anymore working, including the I Phone, and Millions of user been robbed and cheated by this tycoon, and the BBB does give a dam and shut the mouth, Question is how much was the silence of BBB costing Steve.
